2026 FHA Loan Limits: Important Update for Polk County Buyers

Polk County homebuyers, here’s an important update from the FHFA: the 2026 conforming loan limits (CLLs) have been announced. For most of the country, the baseline one-unit property limit is now $832,750, up $26,250 from 2025.

High-cost areas have a maximum limit of $1,249,125, while Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have ceilings of $1,873,675. These adjustments follow a 3.26% increase in average U.S. home values over the past year.

These new limits are critical for anyone planning to buy a home or refinance with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Check the FHFA CLL Map to see specifics for your county.
